Ilaria Bochicchio, was born in 1988 in South of Italy, Basilicata.
Conceptual and visual artist, based in Milano, who studied at Rome’s European Institute of Design. Master master’s degree in editorial illustration and developing creative skills set in courses related to art history and literary subjects at the Faculty of Modern Letters at the University of Milano.
Active art theory journalist, having contributed writing for art magazines like Hestetika and Aware, directed and edited the arts section.
Was featured in October of 2016 at TriBeCa’s Salomon Arts Gallery in New York, under the collective show’s title, Form and No.Form. Along with the celebrated 1934-born pioneer of Abstract Expressionism, Natvar Bhavsar, I had the pleasure of sharing both my performance piece and multiple paintings.
Was selected for the Young Artists Mediterranean Biennal 2015.
2016 she created the project VERSUS, born to “challenge” different artistic languages: visual art to music to performances. An artistic challenge between artists hailing from different countries who work in visual, performing and media arts. Drawing on the histories and cultures of these countries, this event will explore similarities and disparities among participating artists through a live art experience.
