Brenda-Perry-Herrera-One-Art-Space-Gallery-23-Warrent-St-New-York-Manhattan-Contemporary-Art-PortraitBrenda Perry (birth name Perry-Herrera) is a white Latina artist who emigrated from Mexico at the age of three and grew up in the U.S.-Mexico borderland region of west Texas. Her work explores themes of socio-political and ecological relevance in the metamodernist era with a scientific lens. The artist has undertaken the roles of researcher, airplane pilot, amateur programmer, scientist, educator, and mother.  Perry-Herrera was born in Juarez, raised in El Paso, educated in Chicago and New York City, and currently, lives and works in Texas and New York.
