In my Thread of Memory series, yarn becomes both a material and a metaphor for emotional continuity. Each thread contains accumulated memories —thickening over time, carrying the weight of experience, and eventually forming into shape. The act of winding and unwinding becomes a meditative process —a quiet gesture of healing that soothes unseen wounds.

To be connected to someone often means to accept tangles, to live with knots. Within these knots, we find shared emotions and the potential for empathy. The yarn ball becomes a landscape of relationships —a visual form of connection that never breaks. Yarn also embodies the memory of women’s hands —of sewing, weaving, and creating through generations. It carries the traces of time, emotion, and history, transforming from a physical thread into a path where thought and feeling intertwine.

My practice with yarn is ultimately a gentle reflection on life. Through soft lines and repeated textures, I try to visualize invisible emotions and the flow of human existence —to console, to connect, and to understand. Though fragile, yarn holds infinite flexibility, mirroring the resilience of the human spirit.
