New York Solo Exhibition, “DIMENSIONS” by Torrealba.

With DIMENSIONS, I take my world of cartoons to new frontiers: beyond lines and colors, toward volumes, textures, materials, movement, and space. As a cartoonist and visual artist, I’ve always seen the world differently—exaggerated, humorous, distorted—and since I was a child, I understood that this view wasn’t a flaw but my language.

Taking apart toys and objects was my first creative laboratory. There I learned to put together different pieces to build something new, unexpected, and, above all, entertaining. That curiosity, that impulse to explore and play, is the basis of this new exhibition.

DIMENSION: is a space where the two-dimensional meets the tactile. I combine paintings with 3D elements, sculptures made from mixed materials wood, metal, recycled objects and mobile pieces that interact with the environment. Some works rise from the wall, others swing, others transform. Each one presents a “different dimension”: physical, conceptual, or emotional. There is satire, there are absurdities, there are urban references… and always, humor.

If with previous projects like #DiscountForUglyPeople, I connected with the audience through exaggeration and laughter, now I seek to bring that experience to the physical level. I want people not only to see, but to move, touch, play, and be surprised. Here, experience, color, technology, and narrative combine to open up new ways of seeing.

I invite you to explore these dimensions with me. To let yourself be carried away by animated sculptures that seem to have a life of their own. The caricature, that exaggerated gesture that captures the essence, can inhabit any form, material, and scale.
