Jorge Torrealba is a Venezuelan caricature artist based in New York. Jorge was born and raised in Punto Fijo, Venezuela. Jorge is well known worldwide, he is an Emmy Winner and has received numerous recognitions for his art and designs. Jorge was inspired by his own immigration process to create this Exhibition “Alien Number.” As most immigrants, Jorge knows the importance of this number for his immigration process in the United States. Jorge is not an illegal immigrant, he is an immigrant in an immigration process.

An Alien Registration Number is a 7-9 digit number that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) gives to most immigrants who apply to live in the United States. It’s also called an A-Number, Alien Number, or USCIS Number. USCIS uses the A-number to track people’s immigration files, which are sometimes called alien files or a-files. The Alien Number is very important for Jorge and all immigrants in the United States.
